The newest development in the Lone Mountain area. That is the Claiborne County water intake just in front of the development. Could this be an alternative to what TVA might have in mind for the Big Sycamore Recreation Area? Eagle Landing, my family farm was also harvested just two years before it was sold at auction. My family decided to file a Best Management Practices and hire a consultant to do a selective cut of timber, which I managed. The development calls for a Best Management Practice plan which I would hope does not include clear cut forestry. I have voiced my concern to TVA and TDEC through this email. I would suggest anyone with concerns do the same and more.

Now we know what the name of this development will be, Shenandoah Springs. They will "develop" with lots of clear-cuts and grading away and moving of soil. 400 to 600 lots on over a thousand acres.

That is the water intake for most of Old and New Tazewell and surrounding area. IT was, when installed one of a kind in Tennessee, patterned after a Washington State plan. Meant to improve the qulaity of water by taking it from the top instead of the bottom of the lake.
