BAKER, BERNARD L.

He was another Baker mariner, but it is not known how long he was at sea. He drove an express wagon for awhile to the S. Yarmouth depot.  After that, he became the S. Yarmouth post master.  He served on the school committee and identified himself as a democrat.  He was a member of the Howard Masonic Lodge in South Yarmouth.

Bernard L. Baker was born 27 October 1839. He died 7 October 1900. On 1 June 1871, he married Tamsen F. Gifford (d. 12 April 1923), daughter of Prince Gifford.
