Thursday 15 January 2009: Third annual Board & Card Party 12 noon - 4 pm Neighborhood Center: 1617 49th Street South Gulfport Florida; Please bring a sack lunch. Soda and Coffee will be available. We will be playing a variety of card and board games. Cut off date for Team Captains for this event is Thursday 08 January 2009. SueAnn is the hostess. If you need a ride let your Captain know and we will make arrangements to meet you at the Senior Citizens Center. We are also holding our SECOND ANNUAL CHAPTER MEETING at this gathering. Also dues of $10.00 for the year can be paid while you are here. (CHECKS OR MO ONLY; NO CASH)
Wednesday 11 February 2009 Derby Lanes We will meet at the Senior Center at 10:30 am and leave at 10:45 am and meet at Gift Shop entrance on the RIGHT at 11:15 AM. Lunch is your choice at various vendors. There is an esculator to negotiate. The racing program is $1.25 and the cut off date is February 3rd so please let your team captains know if you are attending or not. Chris is the hostess. If you need a ride let your Captain know and we will make arrangements to meet you at the Senior Citizens Center. We will leave from the Senior Center at 10:45 sharp!
LUNCHEON AT CHATTAWAY’S (358 22nd Ave. South) THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26 11:30 a.m.
Please join us for a luncheon at The Chattaway, an old established restaurant where we will dine outside and enjoy good food and good friendship. Dee TenBrink is the hostess for the event and she needs to know if you’re going to attend no later than Thursday, February 19, 2009. Please contact your Princess and she will report the numbers to Dee. We will order from the menu. The luncheon menu averages $10.00. There are meals which are considerably more e.g. the seafood platter which is $20.00. Assuming we have a large group, we will request that the gratuity be added to our individual checks. If you have not been to The Chattaway, you’re in for a treat. It says to me “old Florida”. If you need a ride, please inform your Princess. We can car pool from the Gulfport Senior Center leaving at 11:00 a.m.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Post 125 is requesting items for our US Troops. The items needed are: candy, cookies, micorwave popcorn, cheese crackers, small canned fruits, canned meat except pork, tuna, beef jerkey, powered drink mix, small micorwave products, baby wipes, feminine hygenine products, baby wipes, lip balm, sunscreen, bandannas, socks, cotton swabs and resealable plastice bags. If you have any to donate and you are attending Chattaways, please bring your donations there. If you are not planning on attending, you may drop your items off at SueAnn's home in Gulfport. The cut off date for this is February 26 2009.
Tuesday 10 March 2009 10:30 a.m. Brunch - Fort DeSoto Park
(The East Beach at Ft. Desoto Park – Look for the Red Hot Beach Nut Sign at one of the three pavilions). Our dynamo Chapterette, Edie Brubaker, will be the hostess for this event. She is bringing her camp stove and Pancakes will be served from her grill. Bev is bringing a sausage and egg casserole and you are requested to bring a brunch item to share e.g. quiche, fruit, pastry, juice and other drinks etc. Please bring your own coffee if desired. Come to relax and have a fun day with your friends. If you want to enjoy the beach, please bring a lawn chair and don’t hesitate to wear or bring your bathing suit. Bathroom facilities are close by for changing. Call your Princess no later than Thursday, March 5, 2009 and let her know that you will join us and advise her what food or drink item you will be bringing. She will then inform our dynamo, Edie.

* A three course luncheon is offered. Both selections will begin with a Salad of Mixed Field Greens, Plum Tomatoes, Feta, Cucumbers and White Balsamic Vinaigrette (on the side) and end with Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse w/Mixed Berry Sauce. Beverages of water, Iced Tea and Coffee Service is included.

Two cash bars will be available and will include appropriate soft beverages, wine, mixed drinks and bottled water. Drinks will not be served table side but bars are available in the dining room.
Monday 06 April 2009 Bus Trip to the Hard Rock Casino
If we have 15 people going we will leave from the Senior Center.
In the past, the trip cost $25.00 per person without gratuity for the bus driver. You will receive vouchers for free play and lunch, the exact amount will be communicated with the date. The cut-off date is March 30th and your money must be sent to your Princess to secure your reservation on or before that date.
We will meet the Travel Is Fun bus in the parking lot across from Bealls Outlet at the corner of 9th Ave. N and 58th Street N. If anyone needs a ride, please contact your Princess.
