15 January 2008 ~ Tuesday Board & Card Party 12 noon -4 pm Neighborhood Center: 1617 49th Street South Gulfport Florida; Please bring a sack lunch. Soda and Coffee will be available. We will be playing a variety of card and board games. Cut off date for Team Captains for this event is Tuesday 08 January 2008. SueAnn is the hostess. If you need a ride let your Captain know and we will make arrangements to meet you at the Senior Citizens Center. We are also holding our FIRST ANNUAL CHAPTER MEETING at this gathering. Also dues of $8.00 for the year can be paid while you are here.

Saturday February 16th from 12 noon - 3 pm held at St Anne of Grace Episcopal Church; 6650 113th Street North,
Seminole Florida. Admission is $3.00 which includes 10 tickets and you may purchase additional tickets if you choose. Lunch is $2.50. Beverly is the Hostess. Cut off date for this event is February 8 th. Refreshments will be sold with proceeds further supporting this event. This is for the Deborah Hospital Foundation Skyway Chapter.
Please let your team Captains know by then if you will attend or not. If you need a ride let your Captain know and we will make arrangements to meet you at the Senior Citizens Center. We will be leaving the Senior Center at 11:00 sharp!
RESERVATIONS CLOSED ~ 21 February 2008 Hats! For those of you who have paid in advance and have reservations we are leaving the Senior Citizens center at 6:15 PM sharp. Please eat dinner before arriving.
12 March 2008 Derby Lanes Dog Track Wednesday March 12th meet at Gift Shop entrance on the RIGHT at 11:15 AM, wear your red hat to get in free. Lunch is $12.95 in the Sports bar. There may be a few stairs to negotiate. The racing program is $1.25 and the cut off date to make a reservation is March 3rd so please let your team captains know if you are attending or not. Debbie is the hostess. If you need a ride let your Captain know and we will make arrangements to meet you at the Senior Citizens Center. We will leave from the Senior Center at 11.30 sharp!
18 March 2008 Red Hat Garden Party Tuesday from 11am - 1 pm Cost $6.00 per person, please make checks out to the Red Hot Beachnuts and give to your team Captain. Cut off date for this event is March 3rd. Bev is the Hostess. Enjoy live entertainment from the gazebo, win a raffle, and lunch in the shade of the trees. 301 West Bay Drive between Seminole Blvd and Clearwater-Largo Rd. We will leave the Senior Center at 10:15am sharp! If you need a ride please let your team Captain know.

18 April 2008 Friday to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Red Hat Society National Red Hat Day! We will be having lunch at LaCote de Basque the French Restaurant on Beach Blvd in the Art District in Gulfport across from the Post Office. Please dress up for this event. The price and time and menu selections will be given at a later date. The cut off time for this event will be April 3rd. Please let your team Captain know if you will be attending or not on or before that date. Bev is the Hostess.
14 May 2008 Monday Cinco De Mayo 11am to ?? This will be a pool party at SueAnn's home for lunch and swimming and games. Please bring a Mexican dish. The cut off date for this event is April 21st. Please let your team Captain know before that date if you can attend or not and what dish you will be bringing.
RESERVATIONS CLOSED; Friday 20 June 2008 HARD ROCK HOTEL AND CASINO IN TAMPA trip. Checks were due today to Bev in the amount of $28.00 with a note that you need a players card if you do. The roundtrip bus transportation is included in the price also. You will receive $10 in food vouchers and $15 in Free machine play. Depart at 8:45 am and return at 4 pm. We will meet at the Senior Center.
Friday 04 July 2008 Independence Day Parade We will gather in Gulfport, place and time to be determined. We will join the parade near SueAnn's house. We will bring a brownbag lunch and picnic before the parade (OPTIONAL). Drinks and ice will be provided. You may also swim in the pool before hand if you like. Bev's son Scott will be in his Red White and Blue pickup truck and will be pulling a trailer for the Red Hot Beach Nuts who require seating. We will have waivers for those who are riding in the trailer or the pick up truck for you to sign. If you plan on walking or riding please let your team captain know. We have limited seating available. Princess Dee will provide her purple Convertible for the Queen and her Court. Gloria will be in her convertible with her family and SueAnn will ride her purple motorcyle. Beads will be provided for the crowd. The banners have been prepared and if I do say so myself, they are beautiful! Please plan on joining the fun; wearing your purple and red play clothes and a red hat (unless it is your birth month you may wear the opposite). Ladies, this is the time to play dress up! Let your team captain know by June 10th if you plan on attending this or not and if you will be walking or riding.
RESERVATIONS CLOSED 25 July 2008 Friday; City Players announces it's presentation of Rogers and Hammerstein's South Pacific 8 PM at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Tickets have been purchased and Bev will have them at the Center when we all get together for the trip. We will go to Quaker Steak and Lube on 49th Street for dinner prior to the play as we have done in the past. We will car pool from the Senior Center leaving at 5:15 PM. We will be asking anyone who is riding to please give your driver $4.00 each to help compensate for the high gas prices. It will be very much appreciated. Those of you who are not attending this or the Parade there are no other Events for July.
Friday 22 August 2008: Luncheon at O'Bistro Restaurant, 6661 Central Avenue, St Petersburg, Florida at 11:00 AM. Please contact YOUR team leader for reservations and if you need a ride. We will order from the menu...NO PAYMENT IN ADVANCE. Prices range from $3.95 - $12.95. Deadline to contact your team captain is Friday, August 15th. Edie is the Hostess.
Friday 3 October 2008: Hard Rock Casino & Hotel in Tampa. We will be leaving from Tyrone Gardens at the Bealls Outlet store at 9:00am and returning there at 5pm. You will receive $15.00 of free play and $5.00 of lunch/store voucher. The cost is $25.00 each and must be received as soon as possible. Please let your team Captain know if you will need a ride to Tyrone Gardens.

Friday 17 October 2008: We are going to see the House of Frankenstein at the Catherine Hickman Theatre that evening. We need to be at the Theatre by 6:30 pm. The cost is $14.00 and we need to know in advance if you will be attending or not. Please remember you must wear red and purple (as required for all events) unless you are in costume. If you are in costume please try to have some red and purple, for example: feathers, ribbon somewhere on your body (this is true for ALL events). Please let your team Captain know if you will be attending by October 10th, no later. Please make checks payable to the Red Hot Beach Nuts and send to your team captain before October 10th. We will be having a potluck dinner at SueAnn's beginning at 4:00 pm before the theatre. Costumes are requested but not required. Please let your team captain know what you will be bring for dinner.
03 November 2008 Mount Dora Bus Trip. Price is $37.00. Shopping in quaint Mount Dora for 3 - 4 hours and then we will return home. We will need your reservation and this is open to guests. Please mail your checks to your Team Captain made out to the Red Hot Beach Nuts or let her know if you will not be attending if you haven't already. Ladies, we still have seats we need to fill IMMEDIATELY or we may have to cancel or decide another option. This again is a red hat event and you must wear your colors and your red hat (unless it is your birth month you may wear the opposite) PLEASE LET'S TRY TO FILL THIS BUS. We will carpool from the Senior Center in Gulfport to the bus at Tyrone Gardens. We will leave the Senior Center at 7:00 a.m., the Tyrone Gardens by bus at 7:30 a.m., and returning to the Tyrone Gardens at approximately 5:00 p.m. for the carpool back to the Senior Center.
November 14 2008 Friday: Egmont Key Island Refuge Fort DeSoto Park Pier Ferry to Egmont Key. Leave at 11:00 am and return at 3:00 pm. $15.00 per person. Please contact your Team Leader for reservations and if you need a ride. Pay when boarding. Deadline is November 9th 2008. Wear Walking Shoes (no Flip Flops), bring a bottle of water and a paper bag lunch. Soda, chips and candy on board but pricey. Josie is the hostess.
THE RED HOT BEACH NUTS HOLIDAY LUNCHEON BELLEVIEW BILTMORE RESORT Tuesday, December 9, 2008 11:30 a.m. Luncheon 1:00 p.m. Tour of Resort (The Luncheon is all inclusive i.e. $25.00 for meal, tax, tour and gratuity.) We will carpool from the Gulfport Senior Center meeting at 10:15 and leaving at 10:30 a.m. Menu items must be pre-selected and paid for on or before Friday, November 14, 2008. We will have a $5.00 gift exchange and the challenge this year is to shop at a local thrift store, Goodwill or Salvation Army and purchase a $5.00 gift, which will be worth much more. No mugs, candles, clothing, cookies or nuts please!
Please let your Team Captain know if you will be attending the luncheon and provide your menu selection and payment on or before November 14, 2008. Start your shopping now. It will be such fun!
